Monday Nite Co-Ed League Rules
2025-2026
1. This league is sanctioned and governed by USBC rules and the rules adopted by
league membership.
2. All bowlers must be sanctioned by the third week of the bowling season. A fee of
$25.00 has been determined by the USBC and local RBA.
3. Bowling is on Monday nights at 6:30 PM with warm-up practice bowling beginning at
6:25 PM.
4. If a bowler is not available by the end of the 3rd frame of the first game (last bowler
of each team having bowled), he will not be allowed to bowl that game as a scoring
bowler. He is allowed to bowl as a fill-in with his scores not counting for team as well as
personal score total. He will then be allowed to bowl the final two games as a scoring
bowler for team and personal score.
5. If one team in the match is unable to field a minimum of two bowlers (League Rule 6)
on Monday night and has given 24-48 hours advance notice to the league officers, the
match will not be considered a forfeiture. The two teams involved must agree on a
make-up match scheduled at a different time/date or come to an agreement as to how
to resolve the eight points. The make-up match or agreement cannot be determined by
a league officer and must be settled by the captains of the two teams. If it has been
determined that a “Pre-Bowl” will take place, the team pre-bowling must have
agreement with opposing team and make league officials and Domm’s aware of the
date/time this will take place. Pre-bowl can only happen if all 4 team members are
participating.
6. There must be two sanctioned members of a team at the beginning of bowling or
else that game will be declared a forfeit.
7. In the event of a total match forfeiture, bowlers of the non-forfeiting team must bowl
all three games in the proper order. To win, the non-forfeiting team must beat the
forfeiting team’s score which is based upon their averages minus ten pins.
8. No bowler will be allowed to be in arrears for more than three weeks. If so, the team
will be required to forfeit points until the deficit is paid. However, the team as a group
may elect to assume arrears to avoid forfeiture and make an arrangement with the late
payer to maintain league financial balance as well as fair league standings.
9. Individual handicap is set at 90% of a basis average of 225 pins.
Ex.: 225-125=100 pins
100*0.9= 90 pins handicap
If the total is not a whole number, it will be rounded down. If a bowler’s average is over
225 pins, they will be subject to a negative handicap.
10. Each team will be awarded handicap. Team handicap is a sum of all four individuals handicaps.
11. The final team and bowler averages from the previous season of the league will be
used for the first week of bowling. If a bowler does not have an average from the
previous season, he must use his highest book average. If a bowler does not have a
book average, he must establish an average that night.
12. Handicap for the 2025-2026 season will be established after the first week of
bowling and will be continuously calculated/adjusted throughout the season.
13. Floating substitutes will not be allowed, and teams may only have permanent
substitutes on their roster to account for the absence of a regular team member.
Substitutes will use a book average, if available, until they bowl 9 games in the league.
Once those 9 games have been established, the sub's average will be based on the 9
games bowled instead of the book average. Throughout the season, the sub's average
will be adjusted as more games are bowled.
14. From the 2nd week to the end of the season, a new bowler, without a previous
season’s average or book average, must establish an average that night and handicap
will be calculated accordingly.
15. A total of 51 Monday night league games must be bowled for a bowler to be
considered eligible for individual league prizes.
16. An individual or team cannot win both a handicap and scratch prize in the same
category.
17. The current bowling fee for league members as well as substitutes is $23.00 per
week. The captain is responsible for collecting this fee, the sanction fee, sponsor fee
and all entries in the team collection envelopes are filled in as well as accounted for.
18. The league’s prize list will be based upon the current bowling fees and will be
submitted to and voted for. upon by league membership (majority will rule).
19. Secretary/Treasurer bowling fees to be assumed by the league in lieu of cash
payment.
20. Officers of the league will be nominated, voted upon and elected at the annual
league banquet. The officers consist of a President, Vice President and
Secretary/Treasurer.
21. All awards allowed by the USBC will be given as time allows.
22. No new bowlers will be allowed into the league after the 24th week of the bowling
season unless approved by league members. Substitutes used during the first 23 weeks
of the season are excluded from this rule and may be used.
